The Families
Payan Family
The Payan family is a four-generation cattle ranching family, whose legacy has endured through time. With roots deeply embedded in commercial and registered cattle production, as well as pecan nut harvesting, they have woven a network of family businesses.
From Red Angus to Black Angus, each animal raised on their lands carries the pride of a long tradition of excellence. They don't just raise cattle, but also have a passion for offering export-quality products, products that bear the hallmark of their dedication and care.
As pillars of the agricultural and ranching community, they are members of the Mexican Angus Association and the Chihuahua Regional Cattle Ranchers Union, where they share their knowledge and experience with other field enthusiasts.
In the municipalities of Valle de Allende and Villamatamoros, both in the state of Chihuahua this family continues their legacy, honoring the traditions of the past while looking towards the future with determination and hope.
Garcia Alvarez Family
The Garcia Alvarez family is a small family-owned and operated beef cattle operation from the northern State of Chihuahua in Mexico. They run both commercial and Registered herds out of the family ranch, which is about 40 miles west of Chihuahua City.
They focus on Brangus and Ultra cattle, both in Red and Black. Their genetics come from some of the most recognized and reputable Brangus breeders in the U.S. beef industry.
They are a fourth generation cattle family and are in the process of onboarding the fifth generation. The primary owner and manager, Saul Garcia, has a BS in Animal Science from Texas Tech University and an MBA from University of Texas - El Paso. He is also responsible for all the mattings, AI’ing and embryo work. His wife Marcela is an active part of all business decisions and oversees all administrative tasks including payments and collections, registrations, etc.
Their children, twins Erick and Alec, and their daughter, Karla Marcela, have all graduated from college and are building their careers and lives, which, we are certain, will always include ranching in one form or another.
Cuesta Family
Marco and Denisse Cuesta, are passionate third-generation ranchers in the beautiful state of Chihuahua. Marco, along with his wife Denisse, has three children, and the family has devoted their lives to raising registered and commercial Angus and Charolais cattle.
From a young age, Marco has witnessed the hard work and dedication that life on the ranch entails. Inheriting the passion from his parents and grandparents, he has become an expert in the livestock industry with a deep understanding of animal care and land management.
For the Cuesta family, ranching goes beyond a mere profession; it is a way of life rooted in love for the land and respect for traditions, while knowing that their work contributes to the livelihood of their community and the well-being of their country.
Their dedication and commitment to excellence have earned them recognition in the livestock industry. They are known for the quality of their cattle and their unwavering work ethic, but beyond their professional achievements, what truly sets the Cuesta family apart is their passion for what they do and their deep love for the land they call home.
